It’s Time!!

It’s that time of year again when the Grand Valley Children’s Choir is preparing for our 2021-2022 season! I am very excited for this new season and getting to create music again with an amazing group of kids!

If you have any 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade students who would like to audition for the GVCC, please come to the informational meeting for prospective members that will be held on September 11th at 6:30pm in the Redlands Middle School choir room!

At this meeting you will be able to learn more about the choir, audition requirements, rehearsal/concert schedules, as well as sign up for an audition time.

Rehearsals will primarily take place on Tuesdays with a few exceptions.Auditions will be held the morning of Saturday, September 18th at Redland Middle School.

We will be following the same CDC guidelines as put in place for schools. If you have any questions about that, feel free to contact me.

Due to the break we had between seasons, I am asking previous members to re-audition!

We look forward to seeing you!

A Little Bit About Me!

Harley Galbasini

Hello GVCC Community!

My name is Harley Galbasini. I am excited for the opportunity of becoming the new director of The Grand Valley Children’s Choir! I am a Colorado Mesa University Alumni with my bachelors in Music Education K-12. Since 3rd grade, when I myself was a member of the GVCC, music and choir have been a huge part of my life! Thanks to my many advisors and role models, I am grateful to share what I’ve learned with this organization. With my assistant director and friend, Ben McLam, I am excited to see this season blossom!

Parent Information Night and auditions for the GVCC 21-22 season will take place in the beginning of September! Keep a look out for posts with detailed information coming soon!

New Beginnings

To my wonderful GVCC community,

It is with a bittersweet heart that I inform you of my resignation as Director of the Grand Valley Children’s Choir.
After being a singer in the GVCC and 9 years as part of the director team, I have decided that this is my time to turn the program over for a fresh start.
Our growing family is going through exciting changes that have been a large factor in this decision, however, I truly believe that after the Covid storm, a fresh start is exactly what the program needs.

I am happy to announce that Harley Galbasini, a recent CMU Music Education graduate, will be taking over as lead Director alongside Ben McLam, our amazing Assistant Director/Pianist.
I believe they will make needed changes to the program and encourage growth like all of the directors before them.
The Grand Valley Children’s Choir is dear to my heart and I will always be here for support. I am forever grateful to have been a part of the legacy it holds in our community and cannot wait to see what the future holds under Harley and Ben’s leadership.
Thank you, everyone, for your support.

Keep Singing, Maddie Rae McBride
